Tonight’s WWE SmackDown kicked off with Sheamus and the Brawling Brutes addressing their upcoming Survivor Series WarGames match.
With Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland making their entrance alongside Drew McIntyre, they took to the ring and mic.
Cracking a joke about the insufficient microphone from last week, Sheamus detailed for fans that he believes in his friendship with McIntyre so much, he was recently the best man at his wedding.
Sheamus offered Drew McIntyre ‘honorary brute’ status in the Brawling Brutes and hoped that he would work together with them at Survivor Series WarGames to take on the Bloodline.
Also, inquired if McIntyre was ready to “get brutey”, after the crowd began chanting “ucey” in the segment in a funny and seemingly impromptu moment.
With Drew asking Sheamus, “Did you just say ‘brutey’?” before accepting the offer to join the team.
With Butch doing the grand “War Games!” honor in the segment in place of the departed to AEW William Regal, they alluded to their fifth partner when they were interrupted by Sami Zayn.
Zayn pledged that the Bloodline would be winning at War Games.
The new four-man Brutes noted that Sami would never believe who their fifth partner was… but we’ll presumably find out by the time it is the main event!
Butch will take on Sami Zayn in the SmackDown World Cup in the main event.
