It was recently announced WWE will be making a return to Saudi Arabia for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in the “beautiful city of Jeddah”.
The show will be filmed live on February 19 which is a Saturday. As a result of this, Dave Meltzer is reporting the February 18 episode of SmackDown will be pre-taped.
Meltzer writes:
“It is also official because the top talent is going on the trip that the 2/18 Smackdown show will be taped on 2/11 in New Orleans.”
No matches have been announced of teased from the show, but as the show takes place just a few weeks after the Royal Rumble, WWE may have to do some typically last-minute booking to fill the card.
Saudi shows are often littered with nostalgia acts like Goldberg or the Undertaker, but it isn’t known whether WWE has managed to secure anyone of that caliber for this show.
