SmackDown Live Stars Angry Over Match Being Cut

SmackDown Live Stars Angry Over Match Being Cut

On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, we witnessed Charlotte Flair get handed yet another opportunity for a title out of nowhere and she only went and won it. The ‘Queen’ took on Asuka in a fantastic match and managed to lock in the ‘Figure Eight’ once again to defeat the ‘Empress’.

This will likely set up the main event match at WrestleMania 35 between Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch, and new SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to be for both titles in a unification match.

WWE might even throw Asuka in the mix for good measure, making it a fatal four-way as she has been a lesser but still key part of this storyline.

Those in the know, however, will be aware that this bout wasn’t the original plan. A number one contender’s match for the WrestleMania 35 SmackDown Women’s Title bout was advertised last week between Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Carmella, and Naomi.

Easily put, they were not best pleased with the decision and made it known on each of their respective Twitter accounts.

Rose and Deville more or less stayed in character:

Carmella, on the other hand, just seemed legitimately annoyed:

And while Naomi wasn’t too happy about the card change either…

She still managed to compliment her fellow performer.

To the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal it is.
