SmackDown Star Heading To WWE Raw

SmackDown Star Heading To WWE Raw

UPDATE: The move has since been confirmed by WWE on Twitter.

It was revealed on the latest episode of Talking Smack by former WWE Champion The Miz that Mandy Rose has been traded to Monday Night Raw from Friday Night SmackDown.

The 2015 Tough Enough was in action at SummerSlam when she defeated Sonya Deville in a No Holds Barred Loser Leaves WWE match. Rose has not been seen on WWE TV since that match.

This is certainly an interesting move. With Sasha Banks and Bayley not dropping the Women’s Tag Team Championships and becoming exclusive to SmackDown, moving Mandy Rose over to Raw is a move that does make sense.

However, what is interesting is the timing of the move. It has been reported that WWE is planning a draft for October, so if those reports to be believed and WWE is planning a roster shake-up in just a few weeks, wouldn’t it have been better to wait until then to have Mandy Rose switch brands?

It was actually reported that WWE had ditched their plans to have Asuka defend her Raw Women’s Championship against fellow former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler later this month at Clash of Champions.

If true, then perhaps WWE is considering having Mandy Rose debut on Raw over the next couple of weeks to set up the pay-per-view title match with Asuka at Clash of Champions. It’s important to note that this is just speculation at this point.
