Bar a relatively short-lived run as a tag team with Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin has done very little since his return to WWE in 2017.
However things could be about to change, as this week’s Smackdown saw teases of a new gimmick for the former United States Champion.
As seen in this YouTube clip above, Shelton Benjamin simply looked around and remained silent before smiling when asked who he thinks will win the WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules between Kofi Kingston and Samoa Joe.
There is currently no word on where this seemingly new gimmick is going to go for Shelton Benjamin, or if WWE intends on giving the veteran any sort of push.
