SmackDown Viewership Revealed For July 30

The viewership for Friday’s episode of SmackDown has been revealed and it is down from the prior week.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported the viewership figures on Twitter earlier today. The show drew an average of 2.043 million viewers. This is 94,000 viewers less than the previous week’s average of 2.137 million viewers.

The was up in the key 18-49 demographic, however. SmackDown drew a 0.57 rating in the key demo, equivalent to approximately 742,000 viewers. This is up 5% from last week’s 0.55 rating.

The show featured the long-awaited return of former Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Banks returned and helped Bianca Belair fight off Carmella and Zelina Vega before defeating the team in the main event.

Banks then turned on Belair, likely setting up their WrestleMania rematch for SummerSlam.

The show also saw John Cena sign the contract for a Universal Championship match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Cena stole the contract from Finn Balor who was attacked by Baron Corbin on the show.
