WWE star Sol Ruca has addressed her breakup with former tag team partner Zaria on NXT and a potential future match between the two.
After surviving several rocky spells in their over year-long partnership on WWE TV, Zaria turned her back on Sol Ruca during the February 24 episode of NXT, with the Australian star costing Ruca her match with Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship.
With the pair clashing in the weeks that have followed, it appears as if a singles match could be on the horizon, and during an appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast, Ruca addressed the possibility.
Naming a match with Zaria as her WWE dream match when asked by McMahon, Ruca said:
“Right now, with where I am in NXT I would say Zaria. Because as you know we’ve had a really good relationship, well I guess, a little wishy-washy relationship for the past year, year and a half or however long it’s been and she turned on me and I feel like I do have a pretty good idea of how it’s gonna go.
“I know how she moves I know what she does, but she also knows what I do. I think it’s gonna be a very hot start, we’ve got some beef going on, more so on her side than mine but I’ve thought of different ways to counter the Spear, I’m sure she has some different ways to get out of the Sol Snatcher, maybe Spearing me out out of it, maybe I somehow do the Sol Snatcher out of the Spear.”

Ruca then admitted that she’s unsure which one of them will come out on top in the match, saying:
“I think it’s gonna be very back and forth it’s gonna be a lot of us stopping each other and countering things with big moves and honestly I don’t know who’s gonna come put on top. I really don’t know.
“I’m gonna try my best to Powerbomb her through the table, throw her in, hit the Super Sol Snatcher off the top, who knows maybe she’s got something up her sleeve? Yeah, I don’t know.
“I think it’s gonna be a really really good match and I’m excited to play it through the game (WWE 2K26) first to see what I’m getting myself into and then do it in real life.”

While it’s unclear whether Ruca vs. Zaria will take place on the card, WWE NXT’s next PLE will be Stand & Deliver 2026, which emanates from St. Louis, MO on Saturday, April 4.
