It was reported by various reputable sources on Monday night just before this week’s episode of Raw that there had been another COVID outbreak within WWE, this time mainly involving people from NXT.
According to reports from both Jon Alba and Fightful Select, the NXT roster had been hit with a COVID outbreak, with Alba reporting that the brand had to alter some of the creative plans they had as a result.
On the Wrestling Observer Radio following Raw and these aforementioned reports, Dave Meltzer has noted that some people within WWE are straight out denying that there has even been another outbreak:
“Some people are saying that nothing happened, but there’s enough out there and at the show tonight people were talking about it and other people have been talking about it on the main roster, and the NXT roster so there’s something there.”
It will certainly be interesting to see if any big names are missing from the next few weeks of NXT TV, and if this outbreak has indeed happened it couldn’t have come at a worse time for NXT with TakeOver taking place next weekend.
