Sonny Kiss Wants All LGBTQ+ Athletes To Be Pushed All Year And Not Just During Pride Month AEW

AEW star Sonny Kiss has expressed her desire to see all LGBTQ+ athletes featured all year and not just during Pride Month.

Kiss signed with All Elite Wrestling in the start of 2019, but she has unfortunately not been featured regularly on television.

Speaking with Hollywood Life, the AEW star discussed her hope for LGBTQ+ stars to be featured all year long.

When asked who should get more mainstream recognition, Kiss answered:

“I would like to see all LGBTQ+ professional athletes (signed and unsigned) to keep being seen as sellable and pushed into the mainstream outlets all year round and not just during Pride Month.”

Sonny Kiss also picked “must have for any Pride playlist” in the article, which included Mya and Electrik Red.

When asked about the vibe of Pride 2022, Sonny answered:

“I think the overall vibe and attitude this year is – let’s just keep doing what needs to be done, and that’s delivering the message of what PRIDE truly is and means. Many people think it’s some sort of contest or a way to throw our identities/sexuality in people’s faces. We have PRIDE to celebrate triumphs, to educate people, to explore more about ourselves and others who may have had a similar journey – it’s a beautiful time of year.”

Sonny Kiss teamed and feuded with Joey Janela with much of their angle playing out on AEW Dark.

Janela left AEW in April and has expressed his desire to see more for his former tag team partner since then.

Kiss has also discussed his lack of television time in All Elite Wrestling in recent interviews.
