WWE star Sonya Deville has addressed rumors that there was backstage heat between herself and Ronda Rousey.
There seemed to be a little bit of tension between them, with Rousey having called Deville an “MMA hobbyist”, with Deville having a background in MMA that obviously wasn’t as highly regarded as Rousey’s.
In a new interview with talkSPORT, Deville addressed the apparent issues, saying?:
“It (our relationship) was good. We worked together a bit on Total Divas, it was fine. Ronda is definitely someone I would like to fight if she comes back around. Make her regret calling me an MMA hobbyist. Which is ironic because me transitioning from MMA to wrestling, and she did, wouldn’t that make her a hobbyist?”
Rousey has been absent from WWE since WrestleMania 35 in April 2019 and gave birth this past September, with Nick Khan having said earlier this year that she’ll definitely return to WWE at some point.
Sonya Deville, on the other hand, is an authority figure across both Raw and SmackDown, and although she’s technically had a couple of matches recently, she hasn’t really wrestled since SummerSlam 2020.
