Special Edition Of AEW Dark ‘Elevation’ Set For Thursday, August 4

AEW President Tony Khan has announced that there will be a special edition of AEW Dark: Elevation tonight (August 4), featuring soon-to-be Jon Moxley opponent, Mance Warner.

It appears one likely reason for this is that AEW wants Warner to have a 1-0 undefeated winning record in AEW before he takes on Jon Moxley, just to give Warner at least a small amount of momentum heading into the match with Moxley on this week’s live episode of AEW Rampage.

Tony Nese and Josh Woods are also set to pick up a win before they take on Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland on Rampage, and AEW also set up Madison Rayne’s opponent for her in-ring debut which is set for Rampage as well.

Here are the full spoilers (per F4WOnline) for tonight’s and next week’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation. Presumably the matches not featured in Tony Khan’s tweet will air next Monday as usual.

• Ruby Soho and Skye Blue defeated Nikki Victory and Megan Myers
• Parker Boudreaux (with Ari Daivari) defeated Casey Carrington
• Athena defeated Queen Aminata
• Kiera Hogan & Leila Grey defeated Alice Crowley and Brea States
• Alex Reynolds and John Silver defeated Lord Cruz and a local competitor
• The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix and Penta Oscuro) defeated Ryan Nemeth and Peter Avalon. Andrade el Idolo and Rush came to the ring after the match to confront the Lucha Bros., but they ended up backing off.
• Mance Warner defeated Serpentico (with Luther)
• Tony Nese and Josh Woods defeated Damian Chambers and Dean Alexander
• Hikaru Shida defeated Emi Sakura. After the match, Jade Cargill came out and confronted Madison Rayne, who was on commentary. They set up a match between Rayne and Grey for this Friday’s Rampage.
