Smackdown is pre-taped this week, with WWE putting on the show from the 02 Arena in London, England. As part of the show, Kairi Sane and Asuka took on Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, with the former NXT Women’s Champions picking up their win and continuing their unbeaten run since debuting the night after WrestleMania.
Paige, the manager of the two talented performers, was at ringside for the match, and revealed a new team name for the pair, ‘The Kabuki Warriors’. For those who aren’t aware (and why would you be), Kabuki is a classical Japanese dance and drama performance, with performers wearing elaborate makeup…
The Kabuki Warriors is okay, but fans will be rejoicing that the team weren’t named “The Japanese Experience”. However, after the War Raiders were renamed Viking Experience and later Viking Raiders, there is always time for WWE to screw this up.
