A spoiler on a championship match set to take place on tonight’s (November 22) episode of WWE SmackDown on USA.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, United States Champion LA Knight hosted an open challenge for his title, which was answered by Legado Del Fantasma.
While Escobar ran down LA Knight, Knight ended up defending the title against Berto rather than Escobar himself, but it was clear that a potential match for the title between Knight and Escobar would take place soon.
Per WrestleVotes, a match between LA Knight and Santos Escobar is on the books for tonight’s episode of SmackDown in Salt Lake City, as well as the previously announced Women’s United States Championship tournament match between Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport.

On the books for #SmackDown tonight from Salt Lake City: LA Knight vs Santos Escobar for the Men’s US Title along with Bianca Belair vs Blair Davenport vs Chelsea Green in a Women’s US Title tournament match.
Following his defence against Berto on last week’s show, Knight was attacked by the returning Shinsuke Nakamura, making his first appearance on WWE television in over six months.
