This Friday’s AEW Rampage was taped at the MGM Grand following this weeks AEW Dynamite (May 24) and provided fans the last bit of build towards Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 28.
Whilst the card was seemingly near-enough complete it seems as if AEW in fact may have one more late addition to the card to come.
Be warned that below will feature spoilers for the May 26 edition of AEW Rampage, if you wish to avoid spoilers please click here to be taken back to the WrestleTalk homepage.
After a decisive win in trios action on Rampage, The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn teased ‘doing some gambling’ at Double or Nothing and potentially laying out a challenge to the current AEW Trios Champions the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews).
Given their win in the Tres De Mayo battle royal on the May 3 Dynamite, a future title shot was seemingly being lined up for Caster, Bowens and Daddy Ass however, the two trios have not crossed paths since.
Given neither groups inclusion elsewhere on the Double or Nothing card it seems likely this match could indeed be made official prior or even on the night itself.
