This post will contain a spoiler for the Wednesday, August 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, so obviously don’t read on if you don’t want to be spoiled.
On this past Wednesday’s episode, Chris Jericho announced that he and Orange Cassidy would be having a “debate” on August 5 ahead of a rematch between the two on August 12, and that debate would be moderated by someone that would “blow people’s minds”.
It had been rumoured via a Reddit post earlier that Eric Bischoff was the moderator, and this has now been confirmed as accurate by WrestlingNews.co.
This isn’t exactly a massive surprise because Bischoff recently had Tony Khan on his podcast to preview Fyter Fest, and if you listened to them conversing you could tell how big a fan Khan is of Bischoff.
It’s not yet known whether Bischoff has officially signed a deal with AEW or if this is just a one-off appearance.
