Following his loss to Adam Cole at last weekend’s NXT TakeOver: Toronto II show, Johnny Gargano was seemingly given a send-off and it looked as though his time in NXT was over.
He was of course called up to the main roster briefly earlier this year before returning to NXT to challenge for the NXT Championship, so it was a surprise to many when he appeared at last night’s NXT Tapings to address his future.
As reported by Jacob Cohen on Twitter, Johnny came out to say he loves NXT and the shows it puts on, and that he has made his choice regarding his future…

So, Johnny is sticking around, quite possibly in anticipation on Tommaso Ciampa returning at some point in the coming months.
Many believe Johnny should stay in NXT for good, given that he’ll be seen as a little guy on the main roster, so this will come as a relief.
