According to an exclusive report from Wrestling Inc, two of the biggest stars of the 1990s are in the building and are set to be part of Ric Flair’s 70th birthday celebrations tonight.
The first is Shawn Michaels, who is confirmed to be backstage at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Michaels wrestled Flair in the Nature Boy’s retirement match at WrestleMania in 2008. Flair did wrestle again after that for TNA but never in WWE.
Flair’s great WCW rival Sting is also backstage. If he appears on tonight’s episode of Raw, which it looks like he will, then it will mark his first WWE television appearance in almost three years following his 2016 Hall of Fame induction.
There are also rumours that Ricky Steamboat – who had some of the all-time great matches in wrestling history with Flair in 1989 – and The Rock – who is in the area for a Fighting With My Family screening, could make appearances on the show.
