The July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown saw the blue brand return to a two hour runtime for the first time in 2025 after changing to three hours at the beginning of the year.
Beginning its return to a shorter runtime was a pre-taped episode of Friday’s show following last night’s Raw (June 30) at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
With WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution less than two weeks away, WWE have set the wheels in motion for many upcoming matches, with announcements made on both Raw and SmackDown.
