The July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown saw the blue brand return to a two hour runtime for the first time in 2025 after changing to three hours at the beginning of the year.
In another change to the norm, WWE taped this Friday’s show following last night’s Raw (June 30) at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
Doing so in order to give talent some time off following the recent trip to Saudi Arabia, SmackDown will air on the USA Network this Friday, July 4.
Many newsworthy moments happened throughout the two hour show, including several big returns.
One of these returns also came with a big reveal regarding WWE’s plans for the Evolution premium live event on Sunday, July 13.
