If you don’t want to know what happened during the latest set of NXT tapings, look away now, because I’m about to tell you.
Everything that happened during the tapings will be leading to NXT TakeOver: Toronto II over SummerSlam weekend, and boy oh boy does it look like we’re in for one hell of a show.
Without spoiling results and what have you, it looks like this will be the card:
NXT Title Match
Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole (c)
NXT Women’s Title Match
Mia Yim vs. Shayna Baszler (c)
Triple Threat for the NXT North American Title
Pete Dunne vs. Roderick Strong vs. The Velveteen Dream (c)
NXT Tag Team Titles Match
The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish vs. The Street Profits’ Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (c)
NXT Breakout Tournament Finals
Jordan Myles vs. Cameron Grimes
Io Shirai vs. Candice LeRae (possible match)
Killian Dain vs. Matt Riddle (possible match)
Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. The Forgotten Sons (possible match)
As you can see, we’ll likely be getting the third instalment of Johnny Gargano vs Adam Cole, Mia Yim will get her first shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, and former United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will challenge for the NXT North American Championship. Yes please.
SummerSlam is also that weekend, where we’ll get Baron Corbin and Shane McMahon in every match.
