The current status of Tony Khan’s television negotiations for Ring of Honor (ROH) have now been revealed.
The April 1 Supercard of Honor pay-per-view has been the only ROH event produced following Khan’s acquisition of the promotion in March.
With the next ROH pay-per-view, Death Before Dishonor, slated for July 23, many have speculated that a ROH TV return could be on the horizon.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Khan has yet to secure a TV deal for the promotion:
“Tony Khan hasn’t been able thus far to get an ROH television deal even with a hit wrestling show on (Warner Bros Discovery) and Sinclair, one of the few networks that had an interest in wrestling, was not interested in keeping the programming even before this downward turn in the economy came.”
A ROH Tag Team Championship rematch has been made for Death Before Dishonor, with The Briscoes set to face FTR for the gold. FTR defeated The Briscoes for the gold at Supercard of Honor.
ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham will be in action on Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage. You can read spoilers from the taping for the show at this link.
