Status Of WWE Sale Talks Revealed Following Vince McMahon Retirement WWE

The current status of a potential WWE sale has been revealed following Vince McMahon’s retirement.

On July 22, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE as CEO and Chairman. In his place, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been named co-CEOs for the company.

With a new era dawning for WWE, many fans have speculated if the promotion may be looking for a sale in the future.

Per a new report from CNBC, “the company isn’t currently in sale talks, according to a source familiar with the matter”.

On July 25, WWE announced that Triple H has taken over as head of creative for the main roster.

After the news of McMahon’s retirement and Triple H taking control, the stock price rose to its highest total since 2019.

As previously noted, in a new SEC Filing made on July 25, WWE has stated that it has made a “preliminary determination” that payments made by Vince McMahon totalling approximately $14.6 million “should have been recorded as company expenses”.

McMahon has also been removed from the Board of Directors and more on the WWE corporate website.

We will have further updates on this story when they become available.
