AEW
An AEW World Championship Steel Cage match has now been announced for an upcoming special Dynamite episode.
The first chink in the armour of the Death Riders occurred two weeks ago on Dynamite, when the Opps’ Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs defeated them to capture the AEW World Trios Championship.
The match ended when Samoa Joe choked out the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, which led to Moxley coming to the ring on the following Collision, challenging Joe to a title match on the AEW Dynamite Beach Break show on May 14.
The match was announced for the show, but Joe has now added more stakes to the clash.
On tonight’s Dynamite show, following a victory by the Opps, the Death Riders would storm the ring, leading to Moxley taking out Shibata before they fled through the crowd.
Joe would get on the mic and call out Moxley, before declaring that their upcoming title match would be contested inside a Steel Cage.
