Stephanie McMahon spoke today at WWE’s event with BT Sport. She discussed many of the details about the nature of the company’s relationship with their new broadcast partner. Here are her comments
“We have never had a global partner with this kind of support for WWE and that’s not just for us as an organization that’s for all of our fans, that’s for everybody in the UK, that’s for everybody all around the world and I can’t wait to see what we can do together…Its been 30 years since we have had a new partner in the UK. 30 years, and here we are with BT Sport as its been said, its Monday Night Raw, its SmackDown, its NXT, its NXT UK, its all WWE pay per views, its digital and social content, its content we haven’t even though of yet and it is all also on the app that is designed to provide you with a customized experience and really take this opportunity to the next level.”
Stephanie then brought out Andy Howard to continue the conversation. Howard discussed the excitement shown for WWE’s move to BT Sport. Once her speech was wrapped up, matches began. The results for the matches are as follows:
- Sheamus def. Andrade (Sheamus got the pin with the Brogue Kick)
- Charlotte Flair def. Nikki Cross (Charlotte submitted Nikki with the Figure 8)
- Trent Seven, Tyler Bate & Ilja Dragunov def. Gallus (Tyler Bate pinned Joe Coffey after a Tyler Driver)
