Stephanie McMahon: ‘WWE Looks At Everything As Competitive’

Since Chris Jericho appeared on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, there has been increased talk of WWE and their competition. However, Stephanie McMahon has said that WWE looks at everything as competition.

While speaking on the Bill Simmons podcast, McMahon said that WWE’s competition is not limited to just wrestling. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“It’s not that we’ve never had a competitor, we just look at everything as competitive. Anything competing for eyeballs and attention is a competitor. In terms of a direct wrestling competitor, it hopefully makes you a better company and re-examines everything that you do and do it to the best of your capability. It’s always a good thing.”

All Elite Wrestling is currently WWE’s biggest competitor in the United States, while promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling have been their global competitors.
