Hollywood actor Stephen Amell has commented on the possibility of him returning to the ring, following his previous matches.
The Arrow star made his pro-wrestling debut at WWE SummerSlam 2015, teaming with Neville (AEW’s Pac) to defeat ‘King’ Wade Barrett and Stardust (Cody Rhodes).
Amell went on to wrestle alongside Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks at ROH Survival Of The Fittest 2017, before wrestling his most recent match at All In 2018, against Christopher Daniels.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Amell pointed out that with his pro-wrestling TV drama ‘Heels’ moving to Netflix, there will be opportunity for crossover when Raw arrives on the streaming platform in January.
Addressing a potential in-ring return, Amell said:
“Cody Rhodes thinks that I’m one good WWE match away from maybe eventually getting the Snoop Dogg treatment.
“I actually, I did say that like look if ‘Heels’ does come out and there is some potential with you know the crossover and the synchronicity with ‘Raw’ being on Netflix and, you know, ‘Suits (LA)’ is on Peacock, like the crossover elements are there for me in the WWE.
“But I feel like I would have to get my wife to sign off because she had to take me to the hospital twice after matches.”
Both seasons of Heels are now available on Netflix in the US.
