Big AEW Star Has Family Member Training To Wrestle AEW

A wrestling legend in AEW has revealed not only does their daughter-in-law work with him at All Elite Wrestling, she is also training to wrestle!

In a profile with D Magazine titled ‘The Last Days of Sting‘, the wrestling legend shares that his contract with AEW will expire sometime in 2023.

While Sting declines to state when, he has made it clear that when that time comes, he will be done with wrestling.

The article discusses his next steps including touring America via road trip with his wife and “a few more matches,” reading:

“He has a few more matches for Gracie, now 22 years old, to appreciate her father’s career in a way she never could as a child.

“He’s got a little while longer to work in the same company as his daughter-in-law, Katelyn, who is on AEW’s social media team and is training to be a wrestler.

“He can spend a bit more time mentoring [Darby] Allin, who has transitioned from an on-screen partner to an off-screen friend.”

There wasn’t further details on how long Katelyn has been training or whether or not we might expect to see her debut before Sting makes his exit sometime in 2023.

Sting hasn’t wrestled since AEW’s pay-per-view Full Gear in November where he teamed with Darby Allin however he continues to appear on AEW television.

After Darby Allin reclaimed his TNT Championship in front of Allin’s hometown crowd in Seattle, Sting came to the ring to celebrate along with him.

Spoiler alert: Sting may or may not appear this Friday night on AEW Rampage (depending on whether or not Darby retains his TNT Championship…)
