While it had been speculated about since his first appearance, Sting will make his in-ring debut for AEW at Revolution. This will be his first match in over five years.
It was revealed earlier today that Brian Cage and Ricky Starks of Team Taz will face Sting and Darby Allin in a tag team Street Fight. This is the first match officially set for All Elite Wrestling’s next pay per view event. It was announced in the following tweet:
Here we go! It's 'The Machine' Brian Cage (@MrGMSI_BCage) & Ricky Starks (@starkmanjones) of #TeamTaz vs. @Sting & the TNT Champion @DarbyAllin in a STREET FIGHT! pic.twitter.com/NdyDEqFfis

Sting’s goals have not been made clear since arriving in AEW at Winter is Coming. All that has been clear is that he has a fascination with TNT Champion Darby Allin. Now, the two will team up for the first time ever to take on their common enemy in Team Taz.
This is Sting’s first match since suffering what was believed to be a career-ending spinal injury against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2015. It had been speculated that Sting’s career may not be over but until now nothing was confirmed.
It remains to be seen whether this will be a cinematic match of sorts or whether Sting will compete in the ring.
