MJF & Stokely Hathaway Stable Officially Named On AEW Dynamite AEW

The opening match of tonight’s AEW Dynamite show saw Jon Moxley earn his spot in the final of the AEW World Championship Tournament of Champions, before Tony Schiavone claimed that MJF was backstage with a microphone.

MJF came to the ring with a microphone after the break, saying that he hasn’t slept since last week’s promo with Moxley, because he’s pissed off that he showed no fear, and that he’s not the same kid he was when they first face off two years ago.

He then says that Moxley is playing a character, and that while the fans buy it, he doesn’t, because he says Mox is still a scared little boy, but now he’s old enough to ‘drown his sorrows in alcohol like a drunk’.

He then said that this is also a message for Jericho and Danielson, and bad things happen when people get in MJF’s way, and he should take that vacation he planned and miss Arthur Ashe, because he wouldn’t want to win MJF’s title.

MJF then said that he is a demon that Moxley can’t slay.

He then spoke about Stokely Hathaway’s crew helping him win at All Out, before introducing the leader as his ‘best friend’ Stokely Hathaway, naming the group ‘The Firm’.

Stokely said that he spoke to MJF and told him not to quit AEW, as he would give everyone what they want. Stokely then said that the Firm is a stable on retainer, and they will go their separate ways when MJF doesn’t need them. Stokely said he was not a publicist, he’s just a friend, and everything he’s done since Double or Nothing has been a lie.

Stokely then introduced the group and what they all want. Stokely said that W. Morrissey wants to do what he wants, that Lee Moriarty wants to be a star and bring honor to the ROH Pure Championship, the Gunns no longer want to walk in the shadow of their father and Ethan Page wants to represent Canada and win the All-Atlantic Championship.
