WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has heaped praise on Bayley following her absence from WWE WrestleMania 41.
On the Countdown to WrestleMania 41 Saturday, a big change was made to the Women’s Tag Team Championship match set to take place the following night.
Bayley was attacked backstage prior to the show, leading to Lyra Valkyria finding a replacement partner for her Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
The partner ended up being the returning Becky Lynch, who ended up picking up the win alongside Lyra to become the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Following WrestleMania, an interview with Bayley on Insight with Chris Van Vliet was released, with one quote from her making the rounds in regards to her perception in the company.
She said:
“I don’t feel that I am at the level of a Charlotte or a Becky, but we came up together. To me, they are up here and I’m just not there yet.”
Reacting to the quote on Instagram, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin reacted, praising Bayley as a future Hall of Famer.
He responded:
“Very humble. Class act. Future Hall of Famer. That’s the bottom line.”
Lyra and Becky would lose the Women’s Tag Team Championship back to Liv and Raquel the following night on Raw, with Becky turning on Lyra after the match.
WWE announced an injury to Bayley on the show, which you can see here.
