Street Profits Nearly Split Up In WWE Draft

There are few things Vince McMahon appears to enjoy more than splitting up a well established tag team for no reason, only to push one person and bury the other.

In the 2021 Draft, several women’s tag teams, including Natalya & Tamina and Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox were split up, and PWInsider is reporting another team almost found themselves on separate roster.

The report is that WWE seriously considered splitting up the Street Profits, with the idea being that Montez Ford would head to Raw with his wife Bianca Belair, while Angelo Dawkins would stay on SmackDown and a singles star.

The idea was dropped however and it was instead decided that the team to be split up would be T-Bar and Mace, which could mean we’re finally going to get Dominik Dijakovic on the main roster, rather than T-Bar.

If the Street Profits are split up somewhere down the line, it feels very much as though Ford is seen as the single star by WWE, which may leave Dawkins struggling to make a name for himself as a singles star.

Let’s hope they stick together for the time being.
