SummerSlam 2019 Location Incoming!

SummerSlam 2019 Location Incoming!

The details for the location of SummerSlam 2019 are expected to be announced shortly. Remaining with tradition, it is thought the company will announce the date and place during the seven hour spectacle tomorrow evening.

Originally, it was believed that the show would emanate from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California – a place the show last visited in 2014 – after Sasha Banks dropped a heavy hint during her WWE Now interview. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is, however, denying that claim.

Whilst it’s widely believed the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’ will once again find its home in the United States, there is some hope amongst the British faithful that it will come to London after the success of 1992. After pay-per-view events in Saudi Arabia, Australia, and live WWE Network specials in places such as Japan, the company cannot use time-delay as an excuse anymore.

SummerSlam has been held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, since 2015. Tomorrow’s offering will see Roman Reigns challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship, AJ Styles defend the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe, and Ronda Rousey battle Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship to name just a few contests.

WrestleTalk would like to hear your views on a possible location for next year’s SummerSlam. Would you like to see it leave America? Are you in favor of another British outing? And the age old question, will Roman Reigns headline it wherever it may be? You can contact us on Twitter and Discord today.
