At the WWE Money In The Bank premium live event, the Usos defeated the Street Profits in an incredible match to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, but not without controversy.
The Usos pinned Montez Ford with the 1D, but Ford’s shoulder was up while the referee still counted the three, muddying the finish to the match.
Due to the questionable finish, WWE announced the rematch between the two teams for the SummerSlam even in Nashville on July 30, with a special guest referee set for the encounter.
WWE has now announced that Jimmy Uso will face off against Angelo Dawkins on tonight’s (July 15) episode of SmackDown, alongside the announcement of the identity of the match’s referee.
Also set for tonight’s show are Theory vs Madcap Moss and Liv Morgan vs Natalya.
