Surprising Details Regarding Andrade WWE Release Revealed

After his initial release request two weeks ago was reportedly denied, WWE announced following Fastlane last night that they have allowed Andrade to leave the company.

Following on from this, Fightful Select has provided some additional information about the story, including when the former United States Champion is going to be able to work for other companies.

The site is reporting that people within WWE were surprised to hear that Andrade had been released, as they had been told his release request would not be “immediately granted”. However, there has seemingly been a change of heart over the last week.

The report notes that Andrade (real name Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza) will be subject to the traditional 90-day non-compete clause, meaning he will be unable to work for another company until the weekend on June 20.

Interestingly, the former WWE Superstar will be able to use his “Andrade” name outside of the company, but will not be able to use the “Cien Almas” extension that he used during his time in NXT.
