It’s being reported that several surprising names who are regular fixtures of Tony Khan’s ROH are actually free agents right now.
Tony Khan’s relaunch of Ring of Honor features a multitude of AEW talents who aren’t regularly on Dynamite, but also some ROH names from before he acquired the promotion.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Shane Taylor, who has been appearing on ROH TV regularly as of late and has been winning matches, is actually “completely a free agent”.
The same can reportedly be said for Rhett Titus who has been working for both ROH and the NWA in recent times.
Cheeseburger, another ROH regular who was also on AEW Dark and Elevation numerous times before those shows were axed, is surprisingly a free agent as well.
Leon St Giovanni is, again, in the same boat according to Fightful.
Tony Khan has proven he’s not afraid of putting his trust in people without necessarily tying them down under contracts.
Cody Rhodes was notably TNT Champion for a short while at the start of 2022 after his contract had expired, and Jon Moxley was interim AEW World Champion last summer before agreeing to a new contract as well.
The card for tonight’s May 10 edition of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
No Holds Barred – Julia Hart vs. Anna Jay
Open House Rules match for the AEW Trios Championship – House of Black (c) vs. Bandido & Best Friends
AEW International Championship – Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
Double Jeopardy Match – Claudio Castagnoli vs. Rey Fenix
Steel Cage Match – Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley
