WWE’s 205Live program has been in a weird place for a while now. However, we now know who is currently behind the majority of creative for the show.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Adam Pearce and Dewey Foley are currently the minds behind the show. Dewey Foley is, of course, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
Dewey Foley had his journey to becoming a WWE writer chronicled on the Holy Foley WWE Network show. Hardcore fans will most likely remember him best from Mick Foley’s legendary “Cane Dewey” promo from back in ECW in the mid-90s.
Adam Pearce has been with WWE since 2015. The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion has worked his way up from a coach at the Performance Center to a producer and writer on the main roster.
The 205Live brand has barely been noticeable since Enzo Amore was fired in January 2018. His firing led to the end of the show’s integration with Raw. Now, the show airs after SmackDown on Fridays. It is complicated as the champion of the show primarily appears on NXT as opposed to the 205Live brand.
