Many people were left questioning one of the results from last night’s episode of WWE NXT, but it might have had something to do with the RETRIBUTION group.
On last night’s show, Shotzi Blackheart picked up a win over Mia Yim, which a lot of people saw as a surprising result.
It’s been confirmed by Dave Meltzer that Mia Yim was one of the people under a mask as part of RETRIBUTION’s appearance on Monday’s episode of Raw.
Therefore, it’s possible that she’s heading to the main roster as a member of the group, and we’ve seen a lot that NXT talent tends to lose on the way out. See Matt Riddle and Keith Lee as recent examples.
Of course logically if she’s just been beaten she should be considered less threatening, but we’ve seen over and over that the main roster and NXT don’t necessarily correlate, and Vince McMahon doesn’t always tend to care about what happens on the yellow brand.
To reiterate, this is just speculation, and it’s entirely possible Blackheart would have beaten Yim anyway regardless of anything to do with RETRIBUTION as she has been getting a bit of a push recently.
