Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland has commented on his violent match against Hangman Page at All Out 2024.
The final match of Saturday’s (September 7) pay-per-view event saw Strickland and Hangman Page go to war in a ‘Lights Out’ unsanctioned steel cage match.
With the match in-storyline not sanctioned by AEW, things turned very violent, with staple guns, cinder blocks, and medical syringes used as weapons.
The closing moments of the match have split fans, with the referee calling off the match after Hangman Page stabbed Strickland with a syringe, and nailed him with a chair shot to the head.
While many fans thought the brutality was fitting for this rivalry, some argued that some of the spots were too violent.
Strickland has now taken to Twitter to share several photos from the brutal match.
Defending the violent contest, Strickland captioned his post:

What did you expect? Go where others won’t go
Strickland is reportedly expected to be taking some time away from AEW following this match.
