More has emerged on the reaction to Stephanie McMahon being named interim WWE CEO and Chairwoman.
Stephanie assumed these positions last week after Vince McMahon voluntarily stepped away from these roles amidst ‘hush pact’ allegations which you can read all the details on at this link.
The former Chief Brand Officer had announced an indefinite leave of absence on May 19.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there has been a lot of sympathy backstage for Stephanie McMahon for effectively being forced back to work despite wanting to take a break.
A portion of those PWInsider spoke with marveled about Stephanie’s strength, with some believing that her mother Linda McMahon has been publicly ‘disrespected’ by the situation.
While Stephanie has been named interim CEO and Chairwoman, Vince retained his creative roles. The former CEO made appearances on the episodes of SmackDown and Raw following him stepping down from his executive positions.
Bruce Prichard has also been named the interim Head of Talent Relations, with John Laurinaitis taking administrative leave. The backstage reaction to this change has since been revealed.
Five separate law firms in total have shared press releases announcing that they will be investigating WWE, following the WWE Board’s initial investigation.
