Recently released NXT star Taya Valkyrie (fka Franky Monet) has reacted to Vince McMahon saying he enjoys firing people on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw.
On this week’s show, Vince McMahon threatened Austin Theory, telling his on-screen protégé that he enjoys firing people, especially just before the holidays.
Fans have criticised this line for being insensitive, as over 80 in-ring performers have been let go in 2021, across numerous waves of mass releases.
Taya Valkyrie, who was let go by WWE on November 4, took to Twitter to note that the warm feeling McMahon said he feels after releases is the fire he lights in everyone who leaves WWE:
“lol, that warm feeling is the fire he’s lit in all of us”

Valkyrie has been vocal about her issues with WWE since her and her husband, John Hennigan’s (John Morrison) releases, recently urging fans to stop supporting the company, stating that WWE has zero respect for its talent.
Valkyrie announced her return to the Lucha Libre AAA in a video package that played at TripleMania Regia. It has since been announced that Hennigan will challenge for the AAA Mega Championship at Rey De Reyes 2022.
