Taz Endorses Tony Khan & Paul Heyman Comparison

Taz Endorses Tony Khan & Paul Heyman Comparison WWE/AEW

Former ECW and current AEW star Taz has weighed in on the discussion of whether or not Tony Khan compares to Paul Heyman.

Yesterday during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan noted that the person he got compared to most often by people is Paul Heyman.

Naturally, an uproar ensued with fans all over the internet weighing in with their take on whether or not there was a fair comparison between the two undoubtedly creative visionaries in their own right.

Now a comment from someone who has the unique experience of working for both, Taz.

Adding his voice to the discourse, Taz wrote on Twitter:

“I’ve work/worked very closely with both of these men, PH & TK from a passion perspective, creative, work ethic & connecting directly w/their audiences (including same type of midnight oil hours they burn) TK & PH VERY similar! I promise.”

When some snark rolled in questioning their ability to pay their employees, Taz had no problem clearing the air on his personal experience, saying:

“Well I’ve never had a problem with either of those men compensating me accurately, fairly & properly. I know that was a shot you were taking at Paul, but that never happened to me in ECW.”

Word of advice from a paid professional wrestling Twitter lurker: don’t waste your time trying to snark Taz or you might get a clap back!

While on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Taz regretfully announced the disbandment of Team Taz after HOOK bested Ricky Starks for the FTW Championship and subsequently Powerhouse Hobbs turned on Starks in a shocking betrayal.
