Footage from Taz’s induction into the 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame ahead of AEW Dynamite has now been released.
Originally scheduled to take place at this past weekend’s AEW Collision, the ceremony was moved to an untelevised moment ahead of Dynamite at the request of Taz himself.
With Taz saying the focus of the television show should be on the wrestlers, footage from the induction was shared on the official AEW Twitter account.
In the footage, Tony Khan can be seen honoring Taz as he inducted into the 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame.
The AEW President and CEO introduces Taz to the fans at the iconic building known as the ECW Arena by saying:
“Let’s give it up to the Human Suplex Machine, Taz.”
Taz then enters to his familiar theme, greeting the fans in attendance as he makes his way to ringside.
Khan then pays tribute to Taz’s history, not only in the building but across his storied career, saying:
“Let’s give it up for a legend of this building, a legend of wrestling in Philadelphia.
“Let’s give it up for this banner commemorating the great contributions in the 2300 Arena for Taz.”
We then see a close-up of the banner, which confirms Taz as a member of the 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame.
Taz then takes the microphone and addresses the fans in attendance ahead of AEW Dynamite as they chant, saying:
“I’m going to keep this brief. We got a great Dynamite coming at you, but I want to say thank you to everybody here.
“I gotta say, for so many years wrestling here, performing here, as a New York guy, Philadelphia opened up their arms to a New York guy and I’ll never forget that.
“And, obviously, I want to thank AEW and Tony Khan and everyone backstage (for) putting this together, people here at the 2300 Arena. It’s very much appreciated.
“I’m very humbled and I appreciate it Tony. Thank you very much.”

The ceremony ends with the fans chanting “Thank you Taz” as we get another close-up shot of the banner.
Speaking on last week’s episode of Dynamite where the induction announcement was made, Taz said that he was left speechless by the honor.
