The opening to this week’s WWE Raw show saw Steve Austin’s iconic entrance music hit, before Kevin Owens walked out with a bald cap to a chorus of boos.
The segment received a lot of praise from fans and wrestlers alike, including WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. However, AEW announcer Taz had another thing on his mind.
Taz took to Twitter last night to share a video of Don Callis making his entrance on the Revolution Buy-In to Kenny Omega’s entrance theme, with the caption:
I’ll be that guy…couple weeks ago at #AEWRevolution – @KennyOmegamanX @TheDonCallis
When another fan pointed out that, in fact, WWE was done this long before AEW existed, Taz had another rebuttal, saying:
And Chris Candido came out dressed like me to my music and that was probably mid 90s… obviously it’s not nothing new, but it was just done so recently. I would expect more from a company with 76,000 writers. ♂️
