Another Championship Match Announced For June 7 AEW Dynamite AEW

While much of AEW’s focus may be on the impending debut of Collision on June 17, it seems as if Tony Khan is still intent on ensuring Dynamite has plenty to keep fans tiding over in the meantime.

Not only are we set to see Orange Cassidy defend the International Championship against Swerve Strickland, and the Blackpool Combat Club take on NJPW’s CHAOS in trios action, but now as announced by Khan on Twitter we will get new TBS Champion Kris Statlander defending her title for the second straight week on Dynamite.

Following her victory against Nyla Rose last week, Statlander defender her title twice more on AEW House Rules shows late last week, defeating Anna Jay AS and Lady Frost respectively.

However, despite already claiming a victory over Anna Jay AS, Khan has decided to let the pair have one more go around, only this time on live TV.

Khan tweeted:

TOMORROW, 6/6 Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite

Live on TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT TBS Title Open Challenge

@callmekrisstat vs @annajay

After a great bout at #AEWHouseRules Tupelo, Anna Jay has demanded a 2nd chance at the TBS Title, and Stat’s accepted her challenge for TOMORROW on TBS!

Elsewhere on the card we will see ‘Switchblade’ Jay White square-off against Ricky Starks with both FTR and ‘Rock Hard’ Juice Robinson banned from ringside, as well as a Texas Tornado tag match with HOOK and Jack Perry against Preston Vance and Dralistico.

Not only will we get these three confirmed matches but AEW also confirmed on last week’s Rampage that we will also hear from AEW World Champion MJF for the first time since his title defence at May 28’s Double or Nothing PPV.
