Team Broken Up In The Draft Still Hopes To Win WWE Tag Titles

The WWE Draft split up a number of tag teams this week. As if WWE has an abundance of teams to begin with. One such team was SmackDown’s Heavy Machinery with Tucker moving to Raw and Otis remaining on SmackDown.

The duo of Otis and Tucker had split up earlier this year but eventually found their way back to each other. Now, they’ve been split up again. However, that does not mean that Otis has given up on his goal for tag gold.

Speaking on The Bump, Otis revealed he still wants to win the tag team championship with Tucker. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“It really hit us, big time, after Talking Smack and hearing the news. As we walked away from being guests, we heard Kayla say, ‘No more Tucker and Otis or Heavy Machinery.’ We’re walking to the locker room and I saw him wiping his face and I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is really real.’ Just like every relationship, we’ve been a team for four and half years and it hit me hard too. It was like two big babies. He’s been basically my big brother on the road.

I’m not organized, I’m a little insane, and he’s the person that looks over the little guy, which is me. Very emotional. It’s two hearts, one soul. We have the same thought process and it’s not two egos, it’s the same ego. I’m going to miss him. I’m still in shock. We came in, full tag team. One day, we’ll get the tag team titles. We didn’t get the titles in NXT. We lost two chances at the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. It’ll be bitter to sweet if we could one day come back together and win those Tag Team Championships.”

Since debuting as a team in NXT, Heavy Machinery has yet to win any sort of championship together.
