Former Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard has confirmed that she and her husband of over two years are parting ways.
Blanchard married Miguel Olivo (former AAA star Daga) in August 2020, having got engaged in November 2019.
In a post shared by the pair on Instagram, Miguel and Tessa stated:
“After considerable though, reflection, and mixed emotions, we have decided to separate.
“We are two strong-willed, hard-working, and resilient people who hold nothing but love for each other.
As painful as divorce is, we are thankful that no infidelity or other interested were involved in our decision, and we are parting as friends.
We both want to see each other succeed and reach the pinnacle of success in our business and life.
We want to thank you all in advance for your support as we navigate the next chapter of our lives, and we ask that you respect our privacy and keep us in your prayers.”
The post was well received by their peers and contemporaries in wrestling, with Rob Van Dam commenting:
“The “D” word was tough to go through but without a doubt, the best thing to happen to me and I’d go through the same sh*t if I had to in order to be where I’m at.”
