The Acclaimed Celebrates National Scissoring Day On AEW Dynamite AEW

Seeking to bring unity through scissoring, The Acclaimed hosted a National Scissoring Day celebration on AEW Dynamite.

In honor of the seemingly self-appointed holiday, the Acclaimed along with the catch phrase’s namesake, Daddy Ass Billy Gunn himself were on hand to make remarks.

Speaking from a podium in the ring, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn all gave an address to the crowd, including Gunn using some very familiar cadence reminiscent of his time in DX.

Also notably in the segment, the definition of the scissoring that the Acclaimed is referring to (a hand gesture making scissor fingers that can be used as a greeting for friends and strangers alike, similar to a high five or handshake) was clarified lest there be any scandalized viewers.

While the crowd was incredibly excited to see the trio unite America through scissoring after a passionate speech from Caster, the tag team champs were unceremoniously interrupted by Swerve Strickland.

Swerve cut a vicious promo on The Acclaimed until he too was interrupted by Mark Sterling.

Sterling attempted to side with the Acclaimed in his continued litigation inspired feuding with Strickland however ended up eating a Scissor Me Timbers instead.

Swerve challenge Billy Gunn to a match on next week’s AEW Dynamite and Daddy Ass accepted!

Elsewhere on the show, a set of dueling information regarding Saraya’s in-ring competition status as in a backstage segment Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. noted that Saraya was not cleared to compete in AEW but there after, Saraya and Baker laid hands in the middle of the ring.

Also on AEW Dynamite, numerous matches were announced for upcoming shows including this Friday’s live edition of AEW Rampage, the Battle of the Belts special that airs directly thereafter and AEW’s upcoming show in Canada.
