The Bar Lives On Despite Split In WWE Superstar Shake-Up

It was confirmed just before Raw on Monday that although in theory, the Superstar Shakeup was over, Andrade, Zelina Vega and Aleister Black would be moving to Smackdown, with Cesaro and Samoa Joe being drafted to Raw as a result.

This meant that whilst Cesaro was on Raw, his tag team partner Sheamus was on the blue brand, spelling the end for the duo’s run as The Bar. Although Cesaro walked to the ring using The Bar’s entrance theme and titantron, and wore trunks with ‘The Bar’ written on them, he is clearly being pushed as a singles star, as was evident in his win on Monday night over fellow Raw newcomer, Cedric Alexander.

Whilst other teams that were broken up as a result of the Superstar Shakeup, like the Riott Squad and SAnitY, have posted emotional tributes on social media, confirming their groups were no more, Sheamus took to Twitter to imply that The Bar will live on despite the pair being on different brands.

Sheamus is currently out injured with a concussion, and it is likely that he too will be packaged as a singles star instead of moved over to Raw to reunite with Cesaro when he returns. However, it is clear that the two will not let their new destinations get in the way of their friendship.
