The heel turn from the Bellas on Ronda Rousey after their victory over the Riott Squad on Moday came as little surprise. But why did they do it?
Well, Brie explained in a wwe.com exclusive clip on their YouTube site that Ronda has, “taken up our space, taken our shine, stood in front of us.”
Nikki added: “Brie and I are here for Evolution, but we’re here to remind everyone, even Ronda Rousey, that this is a Bellalution.”
It was reported back in August by Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer that Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey were to main event Evolution.
This match was the second confirmed Evolution match on the night, as the Mickie James and Alexa Blis vs. Trish Stratus and Lita match was also made.
Nikki’s last two singles matches were a victory over Ruby Riott on the September 10, 2018 edition of Raw and the other was on the February 21, 2017 episode of SmackDown Live when she was defeated by Natalya in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
