Former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions The Briscoes have commented on their future after signing with ROH.
Ahead of ROH Death Before Dishonor, Tony Khan confirmed that Mark and Jay Briscoe had signed deals with ROH. At the July 23 event, The Briscoes unsuccessfully challenged for FTR’s ROH Tag Team Championship in a 2/3 falls bout.
FTR had won the title from The Briscoes at Supercard of Honor in April.
In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, the duo teased a third match in their rivalry with FTR. Commenting on their new contracts, they said:
Jay: “Shoot, we’re just ready for it to be cranked up even more. We just did the last pay-per-view and we’re wondering what’s next. We ain’t done with FTR.”
Mark: “Ain’t no way it can be done. They put the paper in front us, said, ‘Please sign this paper.’ ‘Yes sir.’ Now, here we are, and we have the distinct opportunity to come back and get these boys and bust their ass.”
FTR also hold tag team gold for Lucha Libre AAA and NJPW (IWGP Tag Team Championship). Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have now been announced for NJPW’s UK return later this year.
